Cape Town Holiday

A Cape Town holiday is at the top of many travellers wish list. Cape Town was voted the best city holiday destination by the British Daily Telegraph for 6 consecutive years. Not only is it the most popular international tourist destination in South Africa, but Africa as a whole. Expect a city that offers remarkable natural setting, a perfect climate and a wealth of attractions.

Climate

Cape Town has a temperate climate with a Mediterranean feel. Unlike much of South Africa which is tropical, the summers are warm and dry. Summers last from early December to March with an average maximum temperature of 26’C, and a minimum of 16’C. The winter months, which last from June to August, are fairly mild with an average high of 18’C. They see the occasional cold front from the Atlantic Ocean which brings significant rainfall. Both spring and autumn are notable for their moderate temperatures.

Natural Setting

Table Mountain National Park is an inescapable backdrop to any Cape Town holiday. This impressive mountain can be experienced from the many hiking trails that criss-cross its peaks and valleys. Or for those less keen on physical exertion there is a cable car ride with a great vantage point overlooking the bay and its cargo ships and cruisers dotting the Atlantic.
